1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the CPD.me platform (accessible at cpd.me.uk), operated by Sacred Skills Ltd ("we", "us", "our", "the Company"). By accessing or using our platform, submitting programmes for accreditation, or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our platform or services. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform following changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Definitions
- "Platform" means the CPD.me website at cpd.me.uk, including all related services, tools, and applications.
- "Provider" means any individual, organisation, or company that registers to submit programmes for CPD accreditation.
- "Programme" means any course, training, workshop, or educational content submitted for accreditation review.
- "Accreditation" means the formal recognition by CPD.me that a programme meets our published standards.
- "Directory" means the public-facing directory of accredited providers on the Platform.
- "Fast Track" means the expedited accreditation review service subject to additional fees.
- "Subscription" means a recurring payment arrangement for ongoing platform access and accreditation services.
3. Accreditation Services
CPD.me provides CPD accreditation services for holistic therapy, beauty, wellness, and coaching training providers. Our accreditation process involves reviewing submitted programme materials against our published standards and criteria.
Accreditation is provided at three levels: Foundation, Professional, and Academy. Each level carries distinct requirements and benefits as published on our website.
Important: Accreditation by CPD.me does not constitute a government-recognised qualification, does not guarantee insurance approval, and does not replace any regulatory or statutory requirements that may apply to your practice area.
4. Provider Responsibilities
As a registered provider on our platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information in all submissions and communications.
- Maintain current professional indemnity insurance where applicable to your practice area.
- Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable to your training delivery.
- Notify us promptly of any material changes to your programmes, qualifications, or business status.
- Not misrepresent the scope or nature of your CPD.me accreditation to students or the public.
- Deliver programmes substantially as described in your accreditation submission.
- Maintain adequate student records and complaints procedures.
- Respond to any queries from CPD.me within 14 working days.
5. Programme Submission Rules
When submitting a programme for accreditation review, you must:
- Provide complete and accurate programme documentation including learning outcomes, delivery methods, assessment criteria, and CPD hours claimed.
- Ensure all submitted content is your own original work or that you hold the necessary rights and licences to use it.
- Submit programmes that are currently active or within 30 days of planned launch.
- Not submit programmes that promote harmful, unethical, or illegal practices.
- Accurately represent the qualification level, duration, and assessment requirements.
We reserve the right to request additional information or clarification at any stage of the review process.
6. Accuracy of Information
All information provided to CPD.me must be accurate and not misleading. Accreditation decisions are made based on the evidence and documentation you provide. We are not responsible for verifying the underlying truth of claims made in submissions, though we may request evidence or conduct spot checks at our discretion.
You acknowledge that accreditation is granted based on submitted evidence and may be revoked if information is subsequently found to be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.
7. Fraudulent or Misleading Claims
If we have reason to believe that a provider has submitted fraudulent, fabricated, or materially misleading information, we reserve the right to:
- Immediately suspend or revoke accreditation without notice.
- Remove the provider from our directory.
- Terminate the provider's account.
- Retain all fees paid.
- Report the matter to relevant professional bodies or authorities where appropriate.
- Pursue any legal remedies available to us.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, logos, designs, and materials on the CPD.me platform are the intellectual property of Sacred Skills Ltd unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without written permission.
Upon accreditation, providers are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to display the relevant CPD.me accreditation badge on their own materials, subject to our brand guidelines. This licence is automatically revoked upon suspension, revocation, or expiry of accreditation.
You retain ownership of all programme materials you submit. By submitting materials, you grant us a limited licence to review, store, and reference them for accreditation purposes only.
9. Accreditation Approval Process
Most accreditation applications are completed within 48 hours to 4 weeks from receipt of a complete submission. Foundation applications are typically processed significantly faster. We may request amendments or additional information, which will pause the review timeline until received.
CPD.me reserves the absolute right to approve or reject any accreditation application at our sole discretion. We are not obligated to provide detailed reasons for rejection, though we will ordinarily provide general feedback.
A rejection does not prevent re-submission. Providers may address feedback and re-submit programmes subject to any applicable fees.
10. Accreditation Renewal
Accreditation is granted for a fixed period as specified at the time of approval (typically 12 months). Renewal is subject to continued compliance with our standards, payment of renewal fees, and submission of any required evidence of continued quality.
We will notify you in advance of your renewal date. Failure to renew by the specified date will result in accreditation lapsing and removal from the public directory.
11. Suspension & Revocation
We may suspend or revoke accreditation at any time if:
- A provider breaches these Terms.
- Information submitted is found to be inaccurate or misleading.
- The provider's programme quality falls below acceptable standards.
- We receive substantiated complaints from students or the public.
- The provider brings the CPD.me brand into disrepute.
- The provider fails to maintain required insurance coverage.
- Payment obligations are not met.
Where possible, we will provide notice and opportunity to remedy before revocation, except in cases of fraud, serious misconduct, or risk to public safety.
12. Platform Access
Access to the CPD.me platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may conduct maintenance, updates, or changes at any time without prior notice.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your access credentials and for all activity conducted through your account.
13. User Accounts
To access our services, you must create an account with a valid email address. You agree to:
- Provide accurate registration information.
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- Not share your account with any other person or entity.
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for more than 24 months.
14. Payments & Billing
All fees are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are subject to change with 30 days' notice. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
Fees are due as specified at the point of purchase or subscription. Failure to pay may result in suspension of services and/or accreditation.
All payments are subject to our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
15. Subscription Terms
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect on their account.
16. Fast Track Accreditation Terms
The Fast Track service provides priority accreditation review with a target turnaround within 72 working hours, subject to an additional fee. Fast Track applications are prioritised ahead of standard review queues. Fast Track does not guarantee approval -- it only expedites the review timeline.
Fast Track is ideal for workshops, short courses and training providers requiring urgent accreditation review. Fast Track fees are non-refundable once review work has commenced. If your programme requires amendments, the Fast Track timeline resets from the point of resubmission.
17. Directory Listings
Accredited providers may be listed in our public directory. Listing is subject to maintaining active accreditation status and compliance with these Terms.
We reserve the right to remove or modify directory listings at any time. Featured or promoted listings are subject to separate terms and fees.
Providers are responsible for keeping their directory information accurate and up to date.
18. Provider Conduct
Providers must not:
- Misrepresent the nature, scope, or status of their accreditation.
- Imply government endorsement or equivalence with statutory qualifications.
- Use CPD.me branding in a manner inconsistent with our guidelines.
- Engage in unfair, deceptive, or harmful business practices.
- Discriminate unlawfully against students or potential students.
- Use the platform for any illegal purpose.
19. Website Availability
We aim to ensure the platform is available 24/7, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We accept no liability for losses arising from platform unavailability, whether due to maintenance, technical failure, or circumstances beyond our control.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sacred Skills Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or services.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
21. Disclaimer of Guarantees
CPD.me accreditation:
- Does not guarantee that insurance providers will recognise or accept our accreditation.
- Does not replace any statutory, regulatory, or professional body requirements.
- Does not guarantee commercial success or student enrolment for providers.
- Does not constitute a government-issued qualification or licence to practise.
- Is based solely on the evidence submitted and does not guarantee the ongoing quality of delivery.
Providers remain solely responsible for ensuring their training meets all legal and regulatory requirements applicable to their sector and jurisdiction.
22. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sacred Skills Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms.
- Your use of the platform.
- Any inaccurate information you provide.
- Any claim brought by a third party relating to your programmes or services.
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
23. Third Party Services
Our platform integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), Supabase (infrastructure), and Resend (email communications). We are not responsible for the availability, security, or practices of third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
24. Data Usage
Our collection, use, and protection of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the platform, you consent to data practices as described in our Privacy Policy.
25. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public information received during the accreditation process. This includes programme materials, assessment feedback, business information, and any correspondence marked as confidential.
This obligation survives termination of the relationship and does not apply to information that becomes publicly available through no fault of the receiving party.
26. GDPR Compliance
We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Full details of our data processing practices are available in our Privacy Policy.
Where providers submit personal data of their students or staff as part of the accreditation process, both parties acknowledge their respective responsibilities as data controllers or processors as appropriate.
27. Termination Rights
Either party may terminate the relationship by providing written notice. Upon termination:
- Outstanding fees remain payable.
- Accreditation badges must be removed from all materials within 14 days.
- Directory listings will be removed.
- Account access may be retained in read-only mode for 90 days.
- We will retain records as required by law and our data retention policy.
We may terminate accounts immediately for serious breaches including fraud, non-payment, or conduct that brings the platform into disrepute.
28. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
