What Is the Intelligent Verification System?

The Intelligent Verification System is CPD.me.uk's public credential verification platform. It allows anyone to instantly verify the accreditation status of a training provider or the approval status of a specific CPD activity, without requiring a login or account.

Verification is the mechanism that transforms accreditation from a claim into a verifiable fact. Without it, anyone can print a certificate and call themselves accredited. The Intelligent Verification System provides the independent, public proof that accreditation is genuine.

How Verification Works

Every accredited provider receives a unique Provider Reference (e.g. CPD-P-2026-XXXX). Every approved activity receives a unique Activity Reference (e.g. CPD-ACT-2026-XXXXXX). These references are the keys to the verification system.

To verify a credential, a user visits the CPD.me.uk Verification Centre and enters the reference. The system instantly returns:

• Provider Verification: Provider name, accreditation level, current status, number of approved programmes, accreditation dates and compliance status.
• Activity Verification: Activity name, provider, CPD points and hours allocated, approval status, validity dates and a date checker that confirms whether the activity was approved at any specific historical date.

Historical Verification

The Intelligent Verification System preserves historical accreditation records. This means that CPD completed years ago can still be verified against the provider's status at the time of completion. If a provider was accredited when a practitioner completed their training, the verification system confirms this even if the provider's current status has changed.

This historical verification capability is particularly important for insurance renewals and professional body membership, where practitioners may need to evidence CPD from previous years.

Public and Free
